Open Source Automation Guidance

We’ve published an initial collection of automation templates as open-source reference projects, so that our user community can easily try it out and ultimately extend these or build their own automation templates using our open-source CodeFactory SDK.

We would love to see community submitted open-source reference models for a variety of scenarios.

  • Updating outdated UI controls from 3rd party vendors such as Telerik or Infragistics

  • Migrating from WinForms apps to WinUI/.NET Maui

  • Moving data layers to/from Oracle, SQL, mySQL, etc.

  • Migrating apps from .NET Framework to >NET Core Standard

  • Building a JSON/WCF/WebService from an Entity Model POCO

  • Refactoring older MVC apps to the latest version of MVC

Ideas or feedback? Let us know. We’d love to help.

Note: The CodeFactory Run-time client is required in order to execute pre-built or custom automation templates. Download your CodeFactory trial license today.

Migrate legacy WEB FORMS projects to BLAZOR in minutes.

We recently published an open-source CodeFactory “Command Automation” template for a refactor scenario. It's centered on drastically reducing the effort of migrating an ASP.net web forms project to .NET Core/Blazor.

Interested in modernizing a legacy Silverlight app? Watch this space.

With Microsoft ending support for Silverlight in the near term, many legacy apps will be given some scrutiny to determine if they will be upgraded, re-written or retired. If you have an interest in this topic we are launching an open source project and will welcome community input. #HelpWanted
